| Audition Tips Following these suggestions could make securing work easier. - Always be on time. It is a good idea to arrive 15 minutes early.
- Be Professional & Courteous at all times.
- Do not speak to an actor/actress unless he/she initiates the conversation with you. This rule is strictly enforced on all productions.
- Do not ask for autographs, if you do you most likely will be asked to leave and not called for extra work in the future.
- Do not bring cameras to the set.
- Have Patience & Energy.
- Pay Attention! Listen for cues on when shooting is about to start.
- Appropriate Wardrobe is a must!
If auditioning as an Extra : Work days could be 12 hours or longer (possibly shorter, but, this is not usually the case). You need to be able to stay as long as the director needs you to. You will probably spend most of your time waiting for decisions on where extras will be used, scene set ups for shooting or just waiting while scenes are shot without extras. It is important to not speak at all when the camera is rolling. Bring exactly what the Extras Casting Director or Agent requests (3 or 4 outfits). Style requirements will generally be provided such as color, style and time period. |
